Back from a long holiday weekend on the sixth of July, I love:
Co-writing!; my red knee-length trench coat; my bookshelves; the way the blue of the sky can seem so unreal in photos; dreaming about the future, even if they're dreams that are unlikely to come true; good pens; having a (not-so-secret?) secret love in your heart; "Tender is the Night" by Jackson Browne; finding pictures online that remind you of something/one; smiling; SunDrop soda (only available in extremely limited areas of the US); Bach cello suites; the way the setting sun filters through my red curtains; the home-made apron that my mom made for me; finally being able to lift your head, even when times are rough for you and your friends, and say "my life is good"
A quote brought to my mind recently:
Better to write for yourself and have no public, than to write for the public and have no self.
—Cyril Connolly
